还有一个表示影响的词，influence=in + flu（flow）+ ence，have an influence on指对人的内心产生很大的影响，而affect是指对人的身体产生的影响。

affection爱慕，喜爱，如have an affection for sb.对某个人心存爱慕
amour恋情，偷情，amorous关于爱情的，多情的，如amorous looks多情的表情，amorous letters / poetry情书 / 情诗，amateur业余的，联想记忆：根据读音矮模特，当然就是业余的了。

1名词影响，效果，affect=have an effect on，例：Smoking has an effect on our health.吸烟影响健康。dual effect双重功效
2动词使产生，例：Religion effects a real change in her life.宗教对她的生活产生了非常大的影响。
effective有效的，如effective measures to reduce unemployment有效降低失业率的方法
infect（在词根in两种含义，要么是身体，要么是精神）
1感染，例：He infected the whole class with his enthusiasm.他用他的热情感染了全班。
2传染，infectious disease传染性疾病，disinfected已消毒的
defect=de + fect（do）名词，缺陷，毛病，如a hearing defect听觉上的缺陷，defects in the education system教育体系的缺点
表示缺陷，缺点的词还有：
shortcoming指人的缺点，如a person with many shortcoming一个有很多缺点的人
shortage短缺，如fuel shortage能源短缺
flaw 1瑕疵2漏洞3缺陷，如the flaw of character性格缺陷
weakness弱点
perfect=per（through）+ fect从头到尾做得很好，完美的，imperfect不完美的
语法知识：以字母m、p开头的单词，其否定前缀是im，如：
