国奥会北京奥组委举行会议

The second working group meeting between the IOC and BOCOG was held in Beijing Wednesday%26#46; IOC staff attending the event include Hein Verbruggen, president of the IOC Co-ordination Commission, and BOCOG Executive Vice Presidents Liu Jingmin, Wang Wei, Jiang Xiaoyu, Li Binghua and Yang Shuan%26#46; Officials from Beijing Municipal Government, the State General Administration of Sports, Qingdao and other co-host cities of the Olympic Games were also present at the meeting%26#46;

　　The attendants discussed such topics as venue construction, test games and urban operation%26#46; International experts attending the meeting expressed satisfaction over the progress that Beijing has made in preparation for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to date%26#46; Liu Jingmin expressed appreciation to the working group and IOC for their support and guidance to BOCOG%26#46; Noting that the readjusted construction plan of Beijing Olympic venues has won the endorsement of the IOC%26#46; He said the plan will guarantee a valuable heritage to be left over by Beijing Olympic Games%26#46;

　　To date, the location of all competition sites at the 2008 Olympic Games has already been fixed%26#46; Implementation of operational plans of the competitions is under way%26#46; Cultural activities for the Olympic Games are also in smooth progress, as BOCOG is to unveil the Olympic Mascot soon%26#46;

　　国际奥委会与北京奥组委第二次工作组会议近日在京举行。以协调委员会主席维尔布鲁根先生为团长的工作组全体成员，奥组委执行副主席刘敬民、王伟、蒋效愚、李炳华、杨树安出席会议。北京市委市政府、国家体育总局、青岛和足球赛区城市等相关部门负责人列席会议。会议围绕场馆建设、测试赛、城市运行等12个方面的议题进行了广泛交流和讨论。与会外方专家对北京奥运会及残奥会筹备工作的总体进展和相关工作计划的执行进度表示满意。
